Do females feel a need to feel beautiful?

Do you think that for females beauty is built so much into our identity that there is a genuine need for this to be validated amongst most women in order for them to feel high self worth? Validation thru attention, online views, stares, jealousy from other females, jobs where looks are important, boyfriends, husbands and just in life in general. Are women subtly and overtly seeking validation of our looks from everyone more so than men do?

I think it’s a lot more important to most female to take pride in their appearance compared to guys. When I finish messing around outside with my horse, cutting the grass or playing sport. It’s important to me to try and look nice even when I’m home alone. But I’m not into standing in front of the mirror admiring myself like some girls do, lol
