Do females feel a need to feel beautiful?

Do you think that for females beauty is built so much into our identity that there is a genuine need for this to be validated amongst most women in order for them to feel high self worth? Validation thru attention, online views, stares, jealousy from other females, jobs where looks are important, boyfriends, husbands and just in life in general. Are women subtly and overtly seeking validation of our looks from everyone more so than men do?

@SW-User How much would it affect your identity if most people thought that you were ugly and you were aware of this?

@REMsleep I have dealt with this already in my youth ..at school I was called all sorts of things and ugly was one of them ...it did hurt .
But I grew up and moved on ..there is more to someone than their looks ..
I can't stand shallow people ...
