Do females feel a need to feel beautiful?

Do you think that for females beauty is built so much into our identity that there is a genuine need for this to be validated amongst most women in order for them to feel high self worth? Validation thru attention, online views, stares, jealousy from other females, jobs where looks are important, boyfriends, husbands and just in life in general. Are women subtly and overtly seeking validation of our looks from everyone more so than men do?

@Spoiledbrat This is part of it being built into our identity more so than for a man but even after we do find a husband women will say that they feel ugly if they are never approached by other men or that they are unhappy if their husband does not tell them and show them that they look good. Men don't need this as long as the sex is good and regular you generally wont hear them complain that their wife isint complimenting them enough.
