Do females feel a need to feel beautiful?

Do you think that for females beauty is built so much into our identity that there is a genuine need for this to be validated amongst most women in order for them to feel high self worth? Validation thru attention, online views, stares, jealousy from other females, jobs where looks are important, boyfriends, husbands and just in life in general. Are women subtly and overtly seeking validation of our looks from everyone more so than men do?

Maybe it's not always such a bad thing? Of course taken to extreme and to the point where you start hurting those around you then yeah it is bad. But I like the feminine body and the beautiful clothes they wear and of course their beautiful spirit also.
