Do females feel a need to feel beautiful?

Do you think that for females beauty is built so much into our identity that there is a genuine need for this to be validated amongst most women in order for them to feel high self worth? Validation thru attention, online views, stares, jealousy from other females, jobs where looks are important, boyfriends, husbands and just in life in general. Are women subtly and overtly seeking validation of our looks from everyone more so than men do?

I don’t give a shit about my looks. I only groom up to be presentable in my line of work. I’m pretty sure this applies to the opposite sex too.

@DrScissorhands If you truly "dont give a shit about your looks" you are an extreme outlier.
@REMsleep I couldn’t be arsed about that skin care routine, or exfoliating, let alone shopping for clothes. As long as I am clean as a whistle, presentable and smell good, I’m winging it one smirk at a time.
