It is never good to hold your emotions completely inside. But one must be careful where u show your private side to.

@Casheyane No, it's not easy at all. But it's essential to your well-being and if you want to get better, you need to be ready to put in the hard work.

@TheFlippantSide i totally agree with you. Coping mechanisms are most needed once you recognise the problem and the environment is not always there to help you at all

Sometimes people just cause themselves to spiral deeper into depression by continuing to talk about their depression. Having battled depression in my younger years, the thing that helped was learning coping mechanisms and adopting lifestyle changes. Feelings are just feelings...they are fleeting. All the talking in the world didn't help until I took measures to change myself.

@TheFlippantSide indeed people can work themselves into a frenzy

Maybe. But then you'll learn, sometimes you're enough and others don't really have to understand what you're going through for you to be okay.

Most definitely. It's not an easy thing to do, you have to let go of that pain that you're carrying around. Not for anybody else but for yourself, forgive yourself.

I think so. People should ALWAYS express their feelings.
Not being able to say how you feel causes anger and frustration.
