Sometimes we mistake our grief.

Sometimes we mourn over someone we thought was right for us. Our dream.

But sometimes, if you'll just step back and look at it, you'll discover you aren't mourning for that person at all.

Think this through. You're mourning for what might have been...and what you only thought you had.

You tried so hard.

If that person had been right for you, nothing could have made them leave.

You could have been the very best, but the reason they left was not because of you. In fact, it had nothing to do with you.

This person's path was just different from yours. You have your own path and dreams to follow, and it doesn't depend on other people.

This person simply had other preferences and goals in mind. Nothing to do with you at all. Learn from this experience. Grow from it.

Life is not all about you.

Don't get this confused. Always tell yourself the truth. This person was emotionally unavailable for you. Who would want to stay connected to one who never reciprocates?

While you're crying over what might have been, you're keeping your true soul mate, waiting. Think of all the happiness waiting for you. Time waits for no one. Get excited about what your new love looks like and don't keep that lovely person waiting. Life really is good!

I truly believe everyone that passes through our lives and everything that happens is for a reason.
Thank you I needed to read something like this today. 💞
@Leeand29 You know, I was going to include that in my post, but forgot, so thank you for this important reminder. That is absolutely true. We learn something from every person we encounter. Bravo! 🙌
