My dad had the most influence on me as a kid, he was a kind, good hearted man, he refused to argue but I could tell any talk of religion irritated him.
He pretty much indicated there was no such thing as a biblical (or other kind of god) He simply shrugged the whole concept off and said, all living things are god to be honored and respected but that nothing is higher than the other.

@Nanori Not only a dad but my hero, my gateway to adventure, a poet a jokester, a man who would spend hour after hour to rescue an abandoned kitten by the roadside. He would party with the movie stars of the movie colony of Palm Springs and spend the following day joking and sharing a bottle of wine with a destitude wino. My dad was love personified.
