How were you disciplined when you were growing up?
My parents didn't hesitate to use corporal punishment if they felt it was necessary...

Me, my middle sister and my brother were all spanked, hand or hairbrush to clothed butt, until we were about 11. The folks had mixed feelings about it, even though they were raised with spankings. They didn’t believe in spanking teenagers, and I don’t think they spanked our youngest sister at all. And I know my niece wasn’t ever spanked. After age 11 we were grounded, and lost privileges, phone, tv, going out, and later, driving.

@bijouxbroussard My siblings and I each started getting the belt at 11, I think. At around 15, we just started getting slapped, sometimes in addition to being grounded.
