No bikinis, period. My parents didn’t consider them appropriate as swimwear. I was very modest, so it didn’t bother me. But my sister was grounded for borrowing a friend’s and sneaking out to a party in it. When she modeled, she got to wear them—but only for her jobs.
@bijouxbroussard I never got any of my money. All of my shoot money went into an account for college. I got a little money for ranch work to buy clothes, and shoes, and gas… but we didn’t get a whole lot of stuff at home. Just work.
“I saw him strum this thing every chance he could And he left it to me like he said he would And if you ask me why it sounds so good It's cause I'm holding more than strings and wood I'm holding more than strings and wood...”
@JustGoneNow I meant that there wasn't a whole lot of stuff at home, only work. Home to me is my sanctuary, my safe place where I can go and be free to be me. A place where I love and feel loved. 😊
@Bang5luts What do you mean? I had my own horse named Midnight. I had my guitar, 400 acres to roam, and even a pond just barely to small to be a lake to swim in. It’s different for country kids. I didn’t have a lot of creature comforts, but I had a stuff for sure.

@JustGoneNow we were beyond poverty stricken when I was a child. We didn't have any of those things tbh. But it gave me a greater appreciation for those things which we could not afford as a child. 😊
@Bang5luts gotchya. I didn’t have much time for extra curriculars even at school. it was either regular school or work… a lot of work. Summer was better because even though more work, with no school there was more time for swimming and riding. 😊
