There were so many. One was that the song, "Burning Down the House' was banned (among other songs) from our house. My mom thought it would cause us to become a pyromaniac. We got our revenge though. For my parents 50th wedding anniversary and for my brothers wedding reception that song was the first one in the playlist. My mom just laughed.

@Fungirlmmm 🤣 My family would have done the same thing! My dad wouldn't let me listen to Simon and Garfunkel. He thought we'd become satanists. 😅

@dragonfly46 lmbo. My parents listed to all of our music before we could listen to a cassette. If there was a bad song and they heard us listen we lost that cassette

@Fungirlmmm Lol, they wouldn't let us listen to music at home for years AND got rid of the TV. Until my moms found disco. 😅

@dragonfly46 haha. We had cable and were the first to have MTV. All the kids came to watch it, and we watched it all, but if that same song was on a tape we may get it taken away.
