After my son died...I don't know if crying helps or not, but it happened (and still does) no matter what.

@ravenwind43 In such a situation probably crying just temporarily eases the situation. How do you even start after such a loss? Did you get enough support or you rely mostly on yourself? Sorry if these questions are too personal, I just really admire people that manage to gather themselves, and I think I could not handle a similar event.

@sumojumo in all honesty I can't tell you how to start. After a year I am still figuring it out. The first year is a blur in many respects. I suffered another close lost this past March. Some days you just get up and have goals and work on them the best you can
I have had some supports yes but tend to be a private griever for the most part. I isolated for many months and being here and trying to socialize other places is a personal goal because isolating made things worse 🙂

there are great people out there, and it is so great to hear that you want to socialize, you will be ok, I can feel it from your words. It takes time, sure, but you have the right attitude. All the power to you!
