What was the longest time you cried?

Tears of joy or tears of sadness? What was the reason? Did you feel better after the cry, or worse?

After my son died...I don't know if crying helps or not, but it happened (and still does) no matter what.

@ravenwind43 In such a situation probably crying just temporarily eases the situation. How do you even start after such a loss? Did you get enough support or you rely mostly on yourself? Sorry if these questions are too personal, I just really admire people that manage to gather themselves, and I think I could not handle a similar event.

@sumojumo in all honesty I can't tell you how to start. After a year I am still figuring it out. The first year is a blur in many respects. I suffered another close lost this past March. Some days you just get up and have goals and work on them the best you can
I have had some supports yes but tend to be a private griever for the most part. I isolated for many months and being here and trying to socialize other places is a personal goal because isolating made things worse 🙂
TY for asking.

@ravenwind43 🤗
there are great people out there, and it is so great to hear that you want to socialize, you will be ok, I can feel it from your words. It takes time, sure, but you have the right attitude. All the power to you!
