I was an alter boy when I was a child.

Our priest, he did not abuse me. He was arguably, a good man.

I did, however, feel absolutely nothing at church. I'm not sure I ever believed, in any of it.

I actually thought it was rather silly, that we should all believe that through the priest's magic words, that these wafers and wine actually "became the body and blood of Christ". Even as a naive little child, I was thinking.. yeah, but not actually.

I was 16 when I was free thinking enough to call BS on the faith, and leave.

Personally, the closest thing I ever felt to "god" was while off alone in the woods, on shrooms.

My grandpa was an altar boy, and he'd steal some of the donations to buy himself bread and jello.

@MougyWolf So many lies we were told .The lies did almost as much damage as the abuse.I'm glad you were spared the abuse and he was a good man .

@kodiac I'm so sorry you had to go through what you did. Hope life is improving for you.

@MougyWolf It is ,life is good now!
I thought transubstaniation was weird. Like if it literally becomes body and blood then that is most definitely cannibalism.
