Is it really worth it for you?

[c=#BF0080]I don’t think so anymore for myself 😒[/c]

For me it’s not a question of, ”is it worth it?” because nothing is. It’s the question of whichever poison I prefer for that day.

@Reject [c=#BF0080]I hate that you feel that way 😐[/c]

@MellyMel22 I do it to myself. I’m too obsessed with the things I wish I had. What’s going on with you?

@Reject [c=#BF0080]Awh.. I think we all can be at times..

Not too much by me. I went to one of my son’s band’s shows the other night. Wasn’t my thing but it was pretty good. But loud 😳

What about you? [/c]

@MellyMel22 Ooh! A sort of concert? I’ve never been to one but it sounds so fun! Kay sent me this really cool video of her at 21 Pilots!

I’m still a bit stuck from money woes. It feel like I’ll always be. My job just doesn’t pay enough to support moving. 😞

@Reject [c=#BF0080]Oh nice! I’ve only been to one real concert, one of my all time favs- K-ci & JoJo. I did see Fat Joe sing unexpectedly at a club once and when my friend and I were looking to see if he was still there from the top floor we turned and he was standing there watching us 😂 I was also supposed to go to a Jadakiss concert years ago b/c my brother and his friend were doing the before show, but I got like deathly feeling sick from a nerve pain med I stopped 😒 Anyway, my son’s shows are more for exposure at places that do band things, they do most in Long Island. They play metal 🙉 lol but they aren’t bad at all.

I’m so sorry to hear that, I know you have been looking forward to that 🙁 Maybe you can save a little at a time and one day be able to? [/c]

@MellyMel22 K-Ci and JoJo!! 😍
And all my life
I prayed for someone like you
And I thank god
That I
That I finally found you! 🎶💕
I love them! Lucky! You like Fat Joe and Jadakiss too! I remember one of the only girls to think I was super hot was into old school hip hop. Lol. Metal is definitely different from that! 😂 At least you can still appreciate how good it is even if it’s not exactly your thing.

I’m certainly trying! There’s just always some sort of setback. It’s hard to save anything and when I do, expenses come up I have to pay.

@Reject [c=#BF0080]Aren't they great! I can listen to just them all day! And sometimes do. I really wasn’t a big fan of either Fat Joe or Jadakiss. I met Fat Joe when he first came out in the Bronx at the local music shop, I remember he signed my brother’s pic w/the wrong spelling and it’s a common name and I thought he can’t be that smart 😳 But I like Maybe a handful of his songs. Jadakiss I was only going to see b/c my brother was performing. I was so mad I missed it.. I’m glad I made my son’s last show though. My dad loved it 😂 He’s also Vet so his hearing isn’t so good, lucky for him that night cause mine were killing me for days 😱 The first band didn’t set the sound up well, but theirs fixed it before they went.

Oh I think I understand. I know that’s rough. What about planning on your next tax return? [/c]

@MellyMel22 Oops! That’s embarrassing! 😄 Some names are easy to mess up because there’s different ways to spell it. Like Shawn or Sean. I know your dad loved the performance, but It’s always awesome to see those dads who support their kids passions, even if they don’t really understand them. Like when a dad who loves sports supports their kid playing card games or something. I knew someone like that.

Tax returns never helped me too much. Maybe I could try that though. I just don’t like the feeling of being a charity case.

@Reject [c=#BF0080]His name is Jason and when he asked me how to spell it he spelt it with a “y” anyway 😂 That is a good thing when parents can do that, but it’s usually easier with it being their child I think. Every child deserves that.

Why would you feel that way if it was your money? [/c]

@MellyMel22 Oof! Fat Joe might not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but hopefully he has a good heart to make up for it. 😋 There’s a surprising amount of parents that really want their kids to follow in their footsteps and like the same things. To the point they are disappointed and unsupportive if their kid does something they don’t like. 😔

Hmm. Interesting question. I guess tax returns just feel like pity. I’ve always been so against things like welfare, that anything I can even remotely associate with it doesn’t sit right with me.
MellyMel22 · F
@Reject [c=#BF0080]I know what you mean, I’ve seen it with some parents.

Your tax return is not welfare! You worked for it, you should be getting back what’s due to you. [/c]

@MellyMel22 I know it’s not, that’s why I said I remotely associate it with welfare, because I don’t see them as the same thing... but tax returns are calculated based on your situation in life. You fill out the forms and then they decide what’s affordable for you regarding taxes. Basically. I just want to pay as much as I can without them considering my circumstances so they make it less. It’s weird how I feel about it, but that’s like the same as saying I’m not capable enough to earn my living. I want to pay whatever is average or normal. Not special to my income and expenses.

@Reject [c=#BF0080]You are too sweet.. but you deserve to get back what you earned. It goes by how much you earned and you get it back b/c you didn’t make more. But I can respect your wishes. [/c]
