I've watched cartoons when I was younger.
And I kinda get into a series from time to time. Never read anny manga since last year. I did read a lot of europea commics and some american stuff.
I bought: Junji Itos' Uzumaki, Gyo and Tomie.
I enjoyed all 3 of them, even tough I think it's kinda overhyped a little bit.
I bought Akira years ago, but never read it... I finished it last week. The drawings were incredible but I think that if someone else did the artwork it wouldn't be as good. In the end it's just a crazy action flick 80s style. But the drawings were incredible.
I bought the Berserk hardcover deluxe editions from Dark Horse. And I read both of them twice already. So far this is the best thing I read (even tough I've not read that much when it comes to Manga). And I can't wait for the follow ups. 😍
I bought "Vagabond" as an entire series... Love the artwork, and the story gets some really good reviews. So I'm looking forward to start that series.
I tried "one piece", but I don't get it. The artwork ain't for me, and the storyline is a bit childish. I don't think "childish" as being bad, but I was hoping for something else.
I bought some fullmetal alchemist, since they are releasing them now in hardcover. I thought most of the anime was good, and people tell me that the books are better. So I'm hoping to enjoy them too.
I'm also thinking of buying:
- Gantz
- Deathnote (altough I sas the anime, and still don't know if it's worth reading the manga? I wasn't that big of a fan of the anime honestly)
- Goodnight Punpun (looks really promising)
... anny ideas on my future purchases? And annything else that is good looking into? Thx.
