Is this an OCD thing?

I've always wondered if this was an obsessive compulsive thing. I know I do have some OCD tendencies already, but:

When I read words on a PowerPoint slide, for example, I always count the number of words and number of lines on a slide. Also if I'm speaking or listening to someone talk, I like to count (not out loud of course) the number of words and also syllables that are said, and like compare the number of syllables to the number of words.

I also notice that I sometimes will quietly repeat part of what I just said under my breath right after I say it.

The repeating words thing is called Palilalia. It can be a sign of autism or anxiety. Idk about if it has a connection to OCD. Now you know the term and can Google to find out.

@ForeverGrowingOld Ah that's what it's called! I could never remember and had a hard time trying to search for it based on the description. I will look more into that, thanks!
