Do you have respect for the police in the US?

Just watched a vid where a black guy was strapped to a chair by four white police officers, beaten unconscious and left blind in one eye.
I can't believe these are the ppl who are entrusted to protect the public, and I'm sure they'll get away with it.

I think police are people and can be fallible just like everyone else. They can also be corrupt, there's some good ones (like regular people) but there's some horrible ones. There's def. plenty that abuse their authority and probably do in secret.
