Do you have respect for the police in the US?

Just watched a vid where a black guy was strapped to a chair by four white police officers, beaten unconscious and left blind in one eye.
I can't believe these are the ppl who are entrusted to protect the public, and I'm sure they'll get away with it.

It's easier to get away with crimes as a police officer. Both through the unsuspecting job and knowledge of how the law enforcement system works.

@Reject yeh buts what's worse is those in power that know officers are in the wrong let them get away with it. They should be setting an example, it's their duty.

@JovialPlutonian It's usually a very close bond between officers. They face dangers together and share the same passions. Similar to soliders on a battlefield they're almost like family to each other in a lot of cases. So looking out for one another to the point they'll excuse corruption isn't strange to see.

@Reject they should be looking out for each other to not fall into corruption, same with soldiers. There's no honour in corruption.
