What kinds of cars have you owned?

I've had a 1993 Ford Escort 5-speed (2001-2006), a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am V6 (2006-2013), and my current vehicle is a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu 4-cyl. (2013-present) that I bought new and will finally be done paying off in early September.

A 2004 Oldsmobile alero... Had it from December 2016-january 2018 and the steering completely rusted off the subframe. I'm lucky as hell I didn't lose control on the interstate and crash. I was about 2 blocks off the interstate when it broke completely coming home from a 40 minute drive after midnight.

Now I drive a 2007 Cadillac CTS.
@ForeverGrowingOld older gm front wheel drive that hada sub frame always had bad rust on the steering rack
@ForeverGrowingOld Holy crap, that is scary.

@Elizabeth28 yeah after my car broke my dad did research (he bought the car in the first place) and saw that was a common problem with the model and year I had. I coulda died but whatever I didn't haha
@Elizabeth28 I guess I am glad I traded my Grand Am when I did, as it is on the same platform as the Alero so the same thing could have happened.
@ForeverGrowingOld yes GM needs to build a better sub frame issue is from 80s to 2019 on every fwd gm
@ForeverGrowingOld My Grand Am developed some strange problem with the anti-theft system where it wouldn't let you start the car unless you held the key in the ignition in the on position for 10 minutes, which would reset it. That's another common GM problem, apparently.
