Vision changed after psychadelics?

I've had a few psychedelics (mushrooms, peyote, dmt, salvia). Sometimes I can swear now the contrast in my vision looks amped up, dark shades look darker and light shades look lighter. One time a lady who had taken lots of lsd in her lifetime told me that because it had stored in her joints and spinal cord, sometimes when she cracked her neck or back she would see flashes of color.

But I also have taken hormone replacement for a few years because I'm transgender, which has affected my sense of taste quite a bit.
It's interesting how easily your base perceptions of your senses can be permanently altered.
