Has anyone here felt like they were the laughing stock of the family sometimes?

In recent years, I felt that when I've done or tried good things that no one else in my family has done, I feel like I'm a joke to my family. I went from getting my name out to events and charitable organizations. I even got involved with politics last year that I became a delegate to a state convention, and got to officially nominate the candidates to be on the ballot. However, any time I do something that even makes my own parents proud (and still remain so for all the stuff I do), the rest of my family trample me as if I were garbage.

Not laughed at so much... I'm more of a black sheep. No one's very interested in my life, my aspirations and they tend to just ignore me unless they need something. I just don't fit in... I love them but I still don't click with anyone in my family. 😕
