What did you do that was a complete waste of time
Often we do things with good intentions, but after the fact we realize it was a total waste of time?

much of the help i have offered and given, falls on deaf ears. and I have to stand by and WATCH the failure.
reaching out to help, has gotten my fingers burned.
standing aside to "let others have a chance" has given advantage to the mediocre
standing up for the oppressed has not stopped the oppression, and often caused ME harm.
I am much more picky now

if one has no community, then perhaps they should just stand aside.
i do NOT offer assistance against the will of others, All things must be consensual.
if someone asks you for you expert opinion? do you refuse to give it?
