The opinion that consenting adults don’t own themselves or their own bodies and need the government to restrict what choices they can make for themselves even when those choices are not infringing on the rights of others to do the same. Too many people are cavalier about ceding the rights of others.

I don’t claim to belong to any party, but philosophically, I am aligned more with the Libertarian party than any other. I’m very socially liberal while believing that government should be fiscally responsible. My main issue with the Libertarian party is its rigid absolutism which makes it completely adverse to compromise for the sake of incremental progress. It would rather get nothing and tout principle than get a portion and address problems. They also squandered a generational opportunity in 2016 by nominating a clown who didn’t take it seriously enough to prepare and too often deferred to his running mate, who in hindsight would have been a much better candidate and spokesperson for the platform. @Bearserks
