Do you have an easy or difficult time expressing your internal thoughts and feelings to others?

I honestly have a pretty hard time with it. For reasons relating to my childhood, constantly having been told to shut up and stop crying by my parents when I was young, I think. Lead to me becoming incredibly introverted and so opening up to me always tends to feel kind of weird. Like I'm imposing on others and will just get on their nerves talking about my personal bullshit.

I never hesitate to express my feelings. It's toxic not to. It just sits in there manifesting as something else...illness...dis-ease. Saying it frees me up. Your parents aren't still doing that are they? We can unlearn what they dumped on us

@Fernie I don't express myself to them much at all, honestly. Because yeah, they do. I barely interact at all with my father any more because he loves to throw insults and shame to try and get me to do what he wants.

I've been trying to fix what's broken, but it hasn't been easy either.
