Does you house run anything like this?

When I rose this morning I was eight minutes ahead of schedule, this meant I had some time just for myself. I choose to make coffee and drink it sitting down which does not happen often. Time passes quickly however, and now I must make Three lunches for our dear children and get them off to school. Wake one up, chase the other up the hall, and ask the big one for a bit of help. Now to the shower and perhaps a chance to brush my teeth alone for just a moment. Off to school and work we go. Well, the day past quick and there are just two items to grab at the store, home I go to make dinner. A little pick -up from the day and now the frying pan is hot. Finally we sit to dinner however only for moment as one cries, another does not like chicken, and another does not appreciate all that went into this day. Finally getting close to a chance to sit down, there she goes off to sit down instead so I find myself alone again with any empty table and dishes to be done. After they are clean I do have the joy of tucking in each of our babies, however what happened to the day? What happened to the balance, where did I go wrong? Is this a pity party - no, just mystified at how I got here and how do I get the balance back in it all...

@Goralski A whole eight minutes. You take what you can get and are grateful for it. I do have now, but I am missing out on time with my wife for this. That said I am soliciting suggestions on how folks find that balance.
