It is encouraging seeing so many many admit to this. Good on you, guys. I'm feeling some real pride in my gender.

@Bushranger no pride having your heart broken by your 1st wife(high school sweetheart)
karysma · 31-35, F
I think he's proud that men are not scared to show emotion
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@ronisme1 But we should be proud that we can talk about it. We are of a similar age, remember when it was all about not having emotions, sucking it up and being a man? I'm so glad that attitude is disappearing. Doesn't make the hurt any less, but I believe that it helps cope with it.

@Bushranger i learned all about emotions the hard way - yeah - i was brought up not to show emotions - when i broke my hand - be a man -and suck up the pain -haha- did not prepare me for the woman who had at least 15 affairs on me(that i know of with all my so called friends). i was prepared for the broken hand - but the affairs being so young - wiped me out. lost all my friends too -she took all my belongings - and money and friends. but i'm stronger for it now and happier too. emotions can rock you - but females always talk about how men hurt them - well - they are not the only ones.

@ronisme1 Shit man, what can I say? A broken hand is nothing compared to a broken heart. And those guys weren't your friends. Friends don't do that to you. But, like you said, your stronger and happier now. Keep strong, brother.

So sad how people take advantage of your love. I hope you got your happy ending
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
@RemovedUsername786576 her final statement to me was -i had great taste in friends after she tried to forge my name on a credit card to run up my debt. - now after 25 years - if you can believe this - she wants me back - hahahahahaahahahahahaaha. lesson learned for me - i'm fine now but i guess she isn't - karma is a bitch -

@ronisme1 I don't want to be insensitive, and we are of different ages, but there really is another way to cry about a woman. NO matter how you were hurt, you have the choice in yourself, and I know it hurts, to love again.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@ronisme1 Didn't think about going back to her, screwing all her friends, ripping off her money and pissing off? Sorry, just being silly. I don't think you'd be able to stoop so low as to try it.
karysma · 31-35, F
@SW-User You don't choose how you react to pain. This is real life not a play
SW-User
@karysma Said to the person who is dealing with his ex whose once father in law now has cancer. We do have the chance in how we play in language though and judge others? I know it's not play
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
@SW-User i know happiness- i know love - i remarried 23 years ago - and am still married - she allows me freedom to be myself and in return - i just hand over my paycheck which means nothing to me anyway. it has been a good life after the distant pain - so thank you - you are correct - my latina wife is the best thing that ever happened to me- and i am happy with my life
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@SW-User We all deal differently, my friend. I don't think there is a right or wrong way to respond.
SW-User
@ronisme1 Yes, if any of my words brought that out, I'm happy for you.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@ronisme1 That's karma for you. May your life continue to be good, brother.

@Bushranger thanks
SW-User
@Bushranger I'm not sure now how to deal with karysma, though. The right and wrong way to respond, I really am estranged from the idea.
karysma · 31-35, F
@ronisme1 Glad you found yourself a woman that makes you happy after everything you've been through 😄
ronisme1 · 61-69, M
I wanted my happiness, thank you
karysma · 31-35, F
And you deserve it
