@NewBeginnings7790 The earliest euphoric moment I can recall, was also the most memorable. I guess that's why I remember it. It was about 40 years ago, and a cold, wet, windy, November day; one of those days that it would be best to just stay home and curl up by a fireplace, reading a good book. But, I had to be somewhere, so I went out, bundled up and in a bad mood. As I was walking in this cold, miserable, damp weather, I suddenly felt lighter than air. I unbuttoned the top two buttons on my coat, took off my scarf, unzipped my hoodie and took the hood off, and let the cold rain hit my face, neck and chest. It was exhilarating, and there was nothing happening that made it so.

It did change my life, in a way. Now, when I go out in the rain, I take time to enjoy the feel of it on my skin. I still feel that sense of joy that it created in me that day. I cover up pretty quickly now, as I'm old, and catch cold really easily, but a minute or two, is all it takes to raise my spirits.

@Serenitree Funny you should mention that, I really enjoy going out in the rain and letting it wash over me, and did just that a few days ago. It was nice, but I’m not sure for me I would call it euphoric.

@NewBeginnings7790 The euphoria doesn't occur every time. It just feels good, and it brings back the memory of that lighter than air feeling. Natural euphoria comes from somewhere in our brain. A hormone I think.

I just looked it up. Dopamine and endorphins cause feelings of euphoria and happiness.
