@Abstraction How can the odds be low in an infinite universe? How can odds even be CALCULATED in an infinite universe? The nature of infinity is that it does not end. You would never come to the last stop sign.

I see that some scientists are beginning to question whether infinity is a real concept at all.

It is amusing to me that for milennia, scientists (although they may have been called necromancers or djinn) have been learning a thing and expanding that thing as a description and explanation for All That Is. A theory.

Humanity in general gives any new theory the horse laugh for a variable period of time. but eventually as young humans get educated in that theory, it becomes fact.

It remains fact until a new generation says, Wait just a doggone minute! If what you say is true, how do you explain this stuff over here?

'We can't.' And another new theory is born.

I can't comprehend, except in the most basic way, what infinity is. There's another number after whatever number you care to name. There's another stretch of space beyond the furthest point you explore, ever.

We know little about our own Earth's oceans. How can we possibly predict what might happen or exist beyond this little bump in the cosmic road known as Earth, out to the next step after an unending number of steps? Or almost that far, if they were wrong about infinity?
