Have you ever witnessed someone die?

Yes, and each time was very different... Some of those I was blessed to be bedside and present as a comfort are for loved ones who's time with this world was ending. Some experiences are peaceful. Some were prolonged and with some discomfort, yet others were shorter and seemingly without any difficulty, pain or fear. I firmly believe in hospice services and have worked with three different services for the final and end stages of life for family members.

And then there was the little girl, I'll never forget, who died as a result of a terrible accident in 1996 that took place directly in front of me. The memory and visual still haunts me to this day. I believe there is a very special place for the young souls to live freely and forever in peace when they're so unexpectedly and quickly taken from this earth and the physical presence of loved ones.
