Thinking about joining a gym but looking for a new one...

Undecided between the big chains and possibly smaller locations (if I can find them)

Thoughts?

Look at the individual gym...see what equipment they have, how convenient the location and how the people running the place seem to be. Have belonged to a few gyms....my favorite was a small gym which, unfortunately, went out of business a few years back.
