How do u cope with a narcissistic senior that u must care for?

I have a rather extensive background in caring for seniors with Dementia/Alzheimer's disease, and the first thing I was taught was the symptoms of the disease. Then I had to learn (and accept) that their actions/behaviors (verbal and otherwise) were not directed at me; but a manifestation of their disease. In other words, I had to learn to not take it personal. What you may be experiencing, especially the seemingly narcissistic behaviors, are more likely symptoms of the disease.
