How did you get your nickname?

Not your username, lol😉😁! I got the nickname 'Pebbles' from almost eleven years ago, and at the time I had short (ear length) hair. It was just long enough to get in my eyes, not really long enough to DO anything with. And, since I was in the hospital, I didn't exactly have styling products with me, LOL! So, one day I asked the nurse for a rubber band and put the hair on the top of my head in a tiny ponytail. My roommate decided I looked like 'Pebbles' from the Flintstones, and promptly started calling me that. Then, the other patients started calling me it too, as well as the nurses, and I decided to keep the nickname when I left the hospital. 😁😁😁😁

@Echoing Like Dear Abby! I've ALWAYS liked that column! Since I could read, Dear Abby has been giving good advice. My mom used to cut out some of the columns she felt us kids needed to read, and she'd tape them to the cabinets. Nowadays my mom emails them to me, and my grandma sends them via snail mail. 😁😁😁 You're AWESOME Abby! *Hugs!* By the way, how long have you been reading the column?

Just like you. I respected her advice and common sense since I was a young teenager. My school friends, we are still friends today.. some of us have known each other for nearly 50 yrs now. How great is that! Yes, I am the Dear Abby of my circle of friends. You know... there is a big difference between listening to understand verse listening to reply.
