Ouch. Sounds like you have very strict parents.is the strap worse than the belt

@1olderguy20 my dad only used the strap which was in actual fact an old miners belt...very wide and made of thick leather. He use to really crack it across both my brother and my bare bottom. It use to sting more than the cane when it landed but the sting soon went unlike the cane. I think the strap was a better implement o use than the belt as i have seen many a boy getting the belt and it tends to be longer and wraps round the outside of the cheek. A strap is shorter, easier to use and can really be cracked hard across the waiting bottom and make good solid flat contact with the flesh...this was not always the case with the belt as it was doubled over the times i saw it used.

@KatyB I read somewhere you say that you're a good girl you just get into trouble. What do you do to get such painful punishments sweetheart?

@th3r0n Mostly my mouth being 10 seconds ahead of my brain, and my filter must be clogged up - because no sooner have I said something I'm thinking 'oh heck!'

@KatyB As my dad used to say to my siblings and I when we were teenagers "your mouth is in high gear and your brain is still in neutral". No doubt you've heard something similar.

@liondog yes..."you should make sure your brain is in gear before opening your mouth" followed by the dreaded words "trousers and pants off and over the chair"

@liondog @chikki Yup, I should "engage my brain before opening my gob!" Heard that far too many times. Same as the last bit - heard similar far too many times!

Another expression is your mouth is saying things that your bottom cant afford to pay for

@KatyB I definitely understand that you might get spanked for your mouth, but isn’t it a little severe to be using a belt and strap on a young lady just for her mouth?

When I was growing up, @KatyB, just the THREAT of the cane was a great deterrent at the schools I attended.

@th3r0n You've never heard what can sometimes come out of my mouth! I'm not talking about um, talking too much. No no no, in the words of Amy Winehouse. I'm talking about my head spinning 360°, eyes turning as red as the depths of hell and coming out with the sorts of vile language that would make a builder blush! If I was catholic, I'm pretty sure I'd be saying Hail Marys until 2096!!

@ArtieKat I know EXACTLY what you mean! They are scary looking things, and from all accounts sheer agony!

@ArtieKat That was one of the advantages of the school cane. If others heard or better still saw it used it would deter them....boys seeing the cane marks on another boys bottom in the showers also acted as a great dettterant

@KatyB Sounds like you can be a good bit of trouble sweetheart. If you know that that will get you whipped bare bottom with a belt or worse, why do you still do it?

@th3r0n My guess would be that like most teenagers she's not even thinking about the consequences until it's too late. As a father of 3 teens and one adult daughter I know all too well that even the little things can be blown out of proportion and before you know it you've got a full blown teen tantrum to deal with, two girls that are literally pulling each others hair out, or a young lady/man saying things you really wouldn't expect to hear him/her saying.

@th3r0n @liondog It doesn't! Sometimes it can make you think twice, but other times hormones and emotions take over, and before you know it 💥

@th3r0n As Katy said, and any parent of teens can confirm, once their hormones and emotions take over then thinking ahead is often the last thing on their minds until it’s far too late. Some teens manage better than others, but they're not perfect and they all have their moments. At least that's been my experience when it comes to parenting teenagers.
