Yes when I was about 10 and staying at my grandma's farm in Ireland I always warmed my fingers first before handling those delicate teats.

No we had milking machines on the farm (but I was too young then)...I milked a goat later on, can't stand the flavor of goat's milk though.

Yes, and goats. I personally think goats are easier to deal with than cows , if you're milking the old fashion way with a stanchion and feed.
