When did it begin?

If you have a fetish, special interest or attraction, do know when it began? Were you aware of it your whole life? Can you pinpoint a time when it began? Or, was it always there but something happened later to cause you to realize it?

Yes, at age 7, but I've refined and expanded it since then.

I was once at a management training class, and the trainer asked when we knew our sexual orientation, and when I said "7," people thought I was nuts. But at that age I knew I was straight and also knew what kind of female I was attracted to.

@LeopoldBloom Yup, I knew my sexuality & kink at age 6 or 7 as well; like you, I've found that quite a few people's heads explode when you tell them that. It just doesn't compute with them that you could have those feelings before puberty.

However from chatting to like-minded souls over the years it seems that this particular age isn't that unusual for those of us that are kinky.

I'm intrigued though, what was the purpose behind a management trainer asking that question? How did it fit in with what was being discussed, what point was being proved?
