I think it's normal to imagine things. For myself, sometimes right before I'm in a deep sleep, like when I'm in the gradient area of consciousness and sleeping, I might hear voices of people saying random things. I think these are my dreams coming to, but I'm still in that space of being aware, but on the verge of passing out. It's always interesting.
