I added to a post about judging others a verse from the Bible
"Be careful how high you think yourself lest you fall "
I got cussed out over it and called names ,the guy saying I misapplied the scripture ,
I was saying that from me own experience ,I understood his post ,
At one time I was very self righteous ,bad to judge others for their shortcoming but never looking at my own ,,my pride led me to a big fall ,and something I never thought I would do ,I did .
Now I understand another verse a lot better too
pull the beam out of your own eye before you try to remove the speck out of the eye of another .
Now that I am working on this tree in my own eye ,
I am careful not to judge others anymore ,,wish I had taken the first verse to heart just a little sooner

@puck61 I look to the 10 commandments ,for me ,they are the standard for love
4 our love for God ,6 our love for our parents and each other
Then I remind myself as often as I can ,I represent Christ ,so represent ,
other Christians are judged by the examples we all set
If they are not seeing people who at least Love Christ and in turn them,,
We are failing ,So I will not judge ,but I am hurt by people who claim to be Christians who hurt people ,intentionally belittle them ,rebuke them over doctrine ,,if we can't reason together ,then let it go ,,
Christ is not going to force anyone and we can't save anyone ,especially shaming and condemning them .
And a person who does not believe in God is not impressed with scripture ,thats for us who do believe ,
Only He can save ,we just plant seed ,our testimony and our examples , hopefully be examples of something they would want too ,but all we can do is condemn ,
only Christ brings Godly sorrow and conviction to be better then who we are
But many I get why, especially the youth would say "Why would I want that "?
the Church is as bad as the world now days ,and does way more damage then good .
So what you say Puck is a good example ,,
But scripture paints an image ,,,,when we look at Christ and His example
do we quickly look away and forget what we seen ?
I am not religious ,so many things I say Christians might judge me as ungodly ,,,
"A real Christian would not use that word ,say that like that "
But I hope the lost see Christ in me ,the religious need to be worrying about themselves ,,I know Christ loves me ,,He is the one who chose me for the job LOL
I told Him I suck ,but for some reason He has confidence in me ,I warned Him LOL
But believers or not ,being good to others is just as easy as being a jerk ,
and I haven't been in a fight in years ,so something has changed me
and I cry a lot now ,never was one for crying over the pain of others ,in fact I looked down on men that did cry ,something has defiantly made a more caring person out of me .

@rckt148 If we love God, we do by nature those things that would please God. We are born with the statutes of the almighty written in our hearts. Bibles aren't even necessary in my opinion. The bible is just a collection of reference books, so the intelligent can lord it over the simple.

Many say they hear from God or God has placed things on their hearts and as you may or may not know the fall of man began with satan twisting Gods Word.
Things God actually told Adam to avoid ,and it was not a fruit tree
satan also tried his use of scripture on Christ and Christ Himself quoted from the Prophets who gave clear signs how to know Christ from a fake .
Christ was not the first many thought was the Messiah ,but His knew who He was .
He has also left us clear instructions (many chose to ignore ) as to how to know when someone says they speak for Him if indeed they do .
We are also wared of a fallen church that will lead Gods sheep astray and this I know for sure ,,it has and it influence has more opposing God ignorantly then serving Him .
And yes in times past we were only accountable for things basically nature teaches us ,and mans hearts were not so wicked ,
But the last generation is going to face a major test ,
A false messiah walking on the planet and a mark we are warned not to buy into and its not literally a mark its an action and thought
Do you know Gods will from tradition and which one will you follow .
So its popular now days to say the Bible is just to control people .
People seem to have forgotten when scripture was given but when Gods people did not want to hear His word and know His will ,
The people are the ones that asked for a king and not a prophet
So that one man ruled the known world at any given time ,,and his word was law and to ignore his decrees was a death sentence ,,no Bible was needed ,in fact most kings opposed God
The people wanted a king ,and God gave them one
The did not want to hear from God so God let them see life without Him ,the outcome was slavery ,,not forced religion
So not to go on an on I ask people who believe in God this
Do you also believe in satan ? So since satan is good at his job and loves to counterfeit everything God does ,how do you know which one you listen to ?.
See you may not believe me ,but I know quickly who has or has not actually heard from God ,
They know Gods will and its not negotiable ,and do they contradict the Law and the Prophets
Pauls letters were mainly to church's of the day ,but we are told in Rev 1 there is a prophecy in that book you need to understand ,and a special blessing for those that do ,it ends with a curse for anyone that would attempt to alter it ,and even the beast or Kingdom actually a church it speaks of ,knows better then to tamper with it ,So they say you should not have a Bible at all ,they will tell you what Gods will is and only this one man who is picked by men is qualified .
But Puck He is doing exactly as the prophets said he would do ,and he does uphold changing Gods law ,and they teach people to do exactly what scripture says Not to do ,,So if nature teach's us Gods will ,why are millions doing exactly what we were warned not to do ?
So that is one way it serves me well ,I know the difference in Gods will ,
and man made doctrine ,and the proof is all also recorded in history
and the Bible written thousands of years After the prophecy ,only puts it in our hands so we know ,history proves someone had to know the future
its just to accurate ,and there is way more evidence to support it then many want to hear ,,but if I was choosing to ignore it ,I would prefer ignorance about it too ,but its not going to save them ,,God will make sure His know

And the times have not changed much since the days of Christ
its the Religious that would once more crucify God ,if He gave then another chance ,
The problem is not the word of God ,its the men who misuse it

So why is the Pope called "Holy Father " and they are taught Mary is the mediator ?Good reason why we should not have a Bible ,Like Luther ,we can see for ourselves at least this man is not listening to God LOL
The Jews deny Christ is the Messiah ,the Muslims say its the worst sin to believe in Christ ,without Christ they better get perfect ,,,
No other sacrifice is accepted by God ,Christ blood is our only chance for atonement ,,and its a lie that it was applied at the cross ,if that were so no one would be lost ,Christ paid for the sin of Hitler and all the other evil men,
The Bible shows that blood will be applied at the end of the World ,
and ONLY for those who's names are still in the Book of life ,,
They how kept the commandments of God ,and knew Christ

@rckt148 Yes. That's why I use the word "incidental" blood. He said He came not with 'peace' but a sword. Incidentally the Abrahamic scriptures including the Quran have been used to justify all manner of evil. I went through phases and buried myself in scripture for a time, but then a 'karma ran over my dogma'. I don't think things are quite what they appear, and no supernatural politics is exclusive to all of humanity. I don't take the bible literally. I believe the creation story is poetic allegory. Snakes don't talk, evil is a side effect of 'reason', there are no magic trees with fruits that make you immortal or aware of good and evil. Donkeys don't talk, confounding human language is a very temporary set back to human progress. So on and so forth. Figuratively, my sword belongs to the Christians, but I don't take the bible literally. I honor and respect your beliefs though, and I definitely do not consider my opinion to be any more valid than yours.

@puck61 And I do respect you Puck and your beliefs or opinions ,I am not trying to convert anyone ,I am looking for some believers who have been taught wrong as I was ,and I share with them a doctrine I do believe with all my heart was shown to me by God ,and 3 visions to prove it was God ,
One I took seriously and it saved my family ,the other I did not understand but in hind sight I should have and it cost me dearly not listening ,and the last events to come and my part in them ,
And clear revelations as to who speaks for God and who is a liar
And Puck the devil was not a snake he was cunning like a serpent ,
He was a being created to be a living instrument for God the Father
He was so handsome he became vain ,and his ego got the best of him ,but he was persuasive ,1/3 of the angels followed him in a rebellion against Michael .
Michael was the only one to ever see God and allowed in the Holy of Holies so that should tell you who Michael actually is ,,Only one has actually seen God .
So the most handsome angel cast down ,this was his prison ,
Adam was warned to leave him be ,but Eve was beguiled ,tricked
They were naked all along ,why now do they see a problem with it ?
How is it Adam has twins ,1 good one evil
How is it if it was an apple they made clothes from figs leaves ?
Why was childbirth and pain now part of the punishment ?
Enmity between Gods seed and the other one
The fist male to breach the womb is Gods ,so that had to be Able ,
The beasts are kingdoms ,the one we need to be concerned with is on of the 4 from Daniels vision ,that was ,was not and was to be again ,

But my spine had crippled me a few times ,my life has been turned upside down a few times ,I now see that God wanted me to quit pretending I knew Him and actually come to know Him .
My life has been turned around for the good since I have ,,so I believe I have found the right road ,wish I could just let others see what I have seen and then maybe they would not have such trouble ,
But I understand ,I used to hate God ,but I have seen the devil as well ,my Mom was a good servant too just not for God .
So I have very good reasons for my faith ,but I do respect you Puck
You have always been kind to me and very respectful ,so believer or not ,or a believer who just does not believe in the Bible ,I think we still have other interests in common and respect for others
So I am happy with that ,as I said ,its not my job to save
