I became aware of that at an early age. My folks tried to open my third eye with high grade LSD, psilocyben, and mescaline at a very early age. In some ways it was helpful. A self awareness beyond my years was one of the benefits.
Being born into the outer fringes of the counter culture spared me a childhood of mediocrity, that's for sure! Some of it was terrifying and painful, but I consider myself very lucky to have lived the life I have.
@ramgopal I'm self aware, insightful, discerning, empathetic, and compassionate, but I'm not a better person. I hope I never come off that way. My self aggrandizement is deprecation. I'm a barbaric fatalist.
