Are prisoners being allowed far to many perks while they serve time?

yes. prison is supposed to be unpleasant. they should not allow gangs to be formed and every cell and prisoner should be searched daily.

difficult to stop the gangs. They try and don't succeed.

@JustLikeGreta If they are not in for life then college may give them an opportunity for a job. That's good for everyone.

@SW-User I would agree they can learn a trade or something that renders them employable immediately upon their release.
