Are you ever okay with being called a normally derogatory name?

Does it depend on the time place context and person?
Do these words always have the same meaning to you?

No. I have been called dergatory terms like " tranny and heshe " way too often. Don't want that anymore.

I'm like you. It's depends on who says it and in what tone. 😊

When I taught High School Industrial Electronics in the 90s I allowed dissing or fun disrespect as long as it wasn't mean in intention. You can say "fuck you" in hundreds of different ways and come across as funny, indifferent or an immediate fight depending on how it is delivered.

Na, I get called a sperglord autistic trog but.. Eh... I don't mind it... Tough love I suppose... Even if someone calls me faggot or something I see it as another way of saying "Friend" or "dawg" ᶘ ͡°ᴥ͡ °ᶅ/

Oh absolutely. The crew I grew up with for as long as I recall has referred to each other affectionately as 'fucker.'

And I can think of couple other scenarios where it's appreciated - rather than discouraged 😏

I'm more insulted by actions then words. If someone calls me a whore or a bitch I see it as lazy. Come up with something original if you really want to insult me.

yes.

words like 'bitch', 'whore', 'slut'... can be terms of endearment, at certain times coming from certain people.

Time, place context and who's saying it all have a factor in how I will respond, if I respond.
