I Am Not One For Ornamental Jewlery

A Magnificent Emerald Loved In Arms
by: Rob Paquin

To once again be so young
To frolic along as if as one
To feel as if love had won
And to never have travelled across the sun.

Time and space again may yearn
And as it does my soul may burn
I've lived, I've lost, and still I've learned
There's always another page to turn

Another road, my feet; to place on
Another rhyme that could be a good song
Another mile that will always go on
Another time that took me too long

But I could not ever be
Set to feel or be more free
Than this emerald that I see
With loving arms accepting thee

So true it is; I'm free to fly
And float on clouds throughout the sky
With every lasting raindrop cried
The emerald shines and so do I

~The Snowdog
