Why do people act like those who DON'T drink, are defective?

Like they aren't an adult unless they go out and get drunk every weekend.
Why can't I just live sober?
I don't have anyone to go drink with.
Even if I did, I cant depend on anyone but myself to keep me safe.
I can think of so many things that can happen.
What if I mis-jusdge how buzzed I am (never drank), then get in my car and hurt someone?

I didn't grow up seeing adults drink except for maybe like a glass of wine or champagne during the holidays, so to me drinking is almost... I don't know how to put this...unorthodox? It just never appealed to me.

@Thebestof1995 same, didn't appeal to me either. I wasn't one of those teens trying to sneak drinks and stuff. I didn't see the point. My parent's arent drinkers either. occassional wine or whatever

@iamnikki I remember one Christmas when I was probably 11ish nobody told me in time that one of the identical punch bowls was spiked with booze and when I was warned too late I threw it across the room like I had ingested antifreeze. 😄
