Is anyone else here on constant standby because no one at work has faith in the person on call?

In this case I am. It effects my weekends. It effects my vacations. It pretty much rules my life. I can't even develop an appreciation for alcohol. God I want to have one. I have to be able to think clearly and fix things over the phone 24/7.

Thank you again. Yes, my residents were crying at my retirement party and ask if I'm coming back anytime they see me, on property. If you're doing you job, you usually get the appreciation from those you actually deal with, not management.
That is a shame in itself.
