Is anyone else here on constant standby because no one at work has faith in the person on call?

In this case I am. It effects my weekends. It effects my vacations. It pretty much rules my life. I can't even develop an appreciation for alcohol. God I want to have one. I have to be able to think clearly and fix things over the phone 24/7.

Thank you, Blue. But I'm happily retired and love living in Las Vegas. But thank you for the offer. LOL
Just thought I'd mention it, my step-daughter worked in the Call center for one of the Strip hotels. She did her job so well they made her one of the managers. Then with scheduling and work load they took over her life. Near the end, there were weeks when she never saw her two boys unless they were asleep. She was very glad when she left the position. She has another Call Center type position with a company that handles training and certifications. She doesn't make as much working there and has turned down a couple of management promotions, but she does have time for family now.
Ya gotta do what works for you.
