I Had A Great Weekend
All the boats and hovercraft were out in the open, for the public to wander around...
Then, later in the afternoon, the crews staged a mock rescue...
Two of the crew jumped into a kayak...in very rough seas, and then flipped it over ...
Within moments....two speedboats shot towards us from the other end of the pier....
And to a rapturous applause 👏...they rescued the stricken men and their craft....
The show wasn't quite finished yet
..
They then proceeded to put on a show of racing the boats...and spinning in circles....making lots of action on the high seas....
After the action had finished... Mrs expresso and I went for a train ride down southend pier....
The longest pleasure pier in the world....a mile and a bit long, from end to end...and found a live band playing 70's covers...
A fabulous day off....
