Yes, wedding drama is not uncommon. But there are dozens, maybe hundreds of YouTubers and on other platforms that either a) copy from other channels, mess around with the video a bit and repost it as their own. or B) Flat out create it, imply it’s a TRUE STORY when it isn’t.

And I think there are other reasons as well. One being that alcohol at weddings was not always obligatory. Sober people eating, talking and dancing are usually a cheerful bunch. Add alcohol and it becomes a potential disaster area.

Another is that people just aren’t being raised properly. They have no comprehension of the word “No.” They genuinely do not understand why it’s not acceptable to wreck other people’s things, including weddings. “I was mad” doesn’t fix a broken wedding or a broken car or a broken body. It also does not fix felonies. Sometimes you can be as mad as you like. You’ll just have to do it in prison.

It’s not just kids and adults from races you don’t like. It’s EVERY-damn-body.
@DeadOrbit I understand you completely. I feel the same.

Audacious, performative people do not stop to consider the consequences, not their own, not others’. It usually doesn’t come from a clear blue sky. There have been previous transgressions. If there were no actions taken to prove that acting badly doesn’t get you what you want, they’ll do it again and again. Then one fine day there are cops and lawyers and judges, and they blame everyone else for their crimes.
@Mamapolo2016 what do you think should be done about it? How do we help?
@DeadOrbit On the citizen side, we can refuse to support streamers who do nasty, upsetting “pranks” on people because they are dying of thirst for “likes.” Don’t watch them, don’t heart them, don’t subscribe. Don’t worship the entitled because a large number of them are lying. You can “rent” a mansion or a luxury car for just long enough to make it look like you own it, when you don’t. Above all, don’t pay them.

In private life, don’t teach children they can do anything they want, when we actually mean they can work for and achieve the things they want,

Don’t keep the peace by silently affirming awful behavior. Don’t stay silent when vulnerable people are being abused. Don’t contribute “neutral consent” when you’re in a group because you don’t want to make people uncomfortable. If they’re doing wrong, they and everybody watching SHOULD be uncomfortable if they are hurting others, physically or psychologically.

In short, don’t mind your own business. It can be risky sometimes, but as humans sometimes we have to take risks if we want human surroundings.

Yes, it might cost you in terms of “friends”. If those are the kinds of friends you want, keep in mind that next time, the butt of the cruel ‘joke’ may be you or someone you truly care about.

Make sure you know what you’re talking about and then talk about it.

If the DJ plays the song Elvira, I'll dance. The only drama I ever had was when I got tipsy and started giving relationship advice.
@WanderingHelplessly elvira is that the lady who host halloween?
I have not had that experience at any I've attended
@Chern0bylplaygr0unds yeah it seems rare but there is a lot of reddit stories
I've never seen any drama. One time a friend got drunk and accused me of sleeping with her ex. She harassed me till I left early which was a bummer. But otherwise they're just boring ol weddings. I do like to dance though.
@EldritchFox i was forced into it once ill say never again
