I Hate Weddings

They can be good, if you have a family that gets along, but I don't really like them. The first thing is, they're usually in the middle of nowhere, so you have to get up hours beforehand to find some godforsaken venue, especially when they marry in another country, because you feel bad for not going, but if you can't afford it, what can you do? Then there's being there, if there are only a few people or you can bring a +1 It's not so bad, but usually you get seated at a table with loads of people you don't know and it's a nightmare. They're all chatting away, catching up and you're the abstract friend from college, who only knows the people being married. The bride/groom doesn't have time to talk to everyone, so unless you're close you're going to be sat on your own for most of it
