I Hate Valentines Day

I hate Valentine's Day! My mom used to get my candy and flowers on Valentine's Day. I think thats the last time I actually, really celebrated it.

But since 6th grade, I detest it. Its like a big "F" to me that romance just isn't for me. I was never the kind that got male attention. I was chubby with lots of dark hair. Etc.

My husband doesn't do Anniversaries or Valentine's Day. So now that I'm married, I see all of this stuff that people do for their spouses, and yeah, I kind of hate it.

So now its just about the kids for me. They don't have to hate it like I do. So I bought them cupcakes and for my daughter we'll watch a movie together. Mother and Daughter time.

Before, I was always lonely and every girl but me got something. And I'm a MARRIED woman, and yet, life is still the same.

So ..... I'm a bit of a Grinch on this day. I feel like this is "Let's all hate single people day" lol.

oh well.
