The podcasts I've been listening to have been from past valentine's day
So, of course all the opinions about the holiday are coming out.
The last person I dated a few years ago completely ignored the holiday. No call. No text. Not even a "have a great day!"
Not gonna lie, that was the last straw on that relationship. Completely broke when he up and lied and said days later that he was going to make a reservation at a place to eat, but decided against it.
Do I think Valentines Day is simply a day to spend money?
Yes.
Do I care?
No.
I have had all but three guys I have been with completely ignore the holiday, without discussing it with me first. They had just decided it wasn't important to me, so I would just have to deal with that.
That means 90% of the guys I have been with just up and said, "Fuck making her feel special on a day created to do just that."
Celebrate the fucking day! It is literally the barest of minimums! You don't even need to be reminded like a birthday or anniversary! Reminders are fucking everywhere! If you can't be bothered to do even the bare bottom minimium, stay out of relationships!
