My bf says he won’t be able to get me anything this Valentine’s Day

We’ve been together 3 months. He’s amazing. He says he’s too broke to get me anything.
Idk. I’m so upset, I’m crying, I feel stupid, I’m mad at him, I want to kick and scream and throw a tantrum.
All girls will be showing off their gifts, but me?? No.
I already got him two cards, cologne, candy, a stuffie, and I was also going to bake him something.
I hate this.

@Submissiveiendencies You know, he’s a good guy but I thought the same thing.

Without asking him anything he did say he’ll try, so I’m feeling a bit better now.
@AnonymousJSS Waite and see. If nothing drop him.

I wouldnt sweat it.

Sounds like you already got the best present:
.He’s amazing.

Better a wonderful person to share your time with EVERYDAY, than presents on just one day.

Also....think about it:
Girls who show off their valentines presents need to be compensating for something right?

If hes wonderful, and he makes you happy.

Theres no price you can put on that.

@AnonymousJSS In his position... well first of all I wouldn't have gotten into it, and secondly if I did, and you told me you're very sad, I would promise to fix it.

I avoided saying this before because I didn't want to intrude, but seeing some other responses and your acceptance of them: make everything very clear to him, and if he doesn’t improve, dump him.

@SinlessOnslaught He gets me things all the time but come on, what girl doesn’t want something on Valentines ?
@AnonymousJSS Maybe that's how he justifies it in his head but it's not right.

Tell him how you have prepared for the day a little... so you would appreciate it if he could prepare a little as well...in whichever way he finds suitable...? So you can get to have some fun together

Amazing and broke is way better than really never amazing and gifts..i understand your feelings though

@bookerdana Thank you
Girl, it’s as simple as if he wanted to he would.

I bet you he had money to buy fast food, cigarettes, weed, or alcohol recently.
@deathfairy He should be baking her something.
Anything is better than nothing. He could have colored a heart and written something.

This isn’t just about some silly Valentine’s Day gift. It’s a reflection of the future, about showing up when it matters and being prepared and accountable. @SinlessOnslaught
@deathfairy Exactly. She put in so much effort and preparation. I completely understand her being upset.

He could at least make a card. Or take you out to a gallery or museum.

If you talk to him about it and he doesn't put any effort in to do something for you, give him the boot. He should care about what matters to you
Exactly, an ex boyfriend I had didn’t get me anything for Valentine’s Day but then told me he had done it for a girlfriend in his past.

Like that’s not cool. There are dollar stores everywhere. How hard is it to buy a card and a box of chocolates. Say “sorry babe I am broke so I was only able to afford you a dollar tree present this year.” @caccoon
AnonymousJSS · 22-25, F
@caccoon I told him I’m very sad and he says he’ll try to figure something out.

@AnonymousJSS I hope he does!! 💙💙💙
Financial smarts is a good thing. Keep him.

3 months.
He can get you a card and wrap a bow around his manhood.
Doesnt cost much then.
Jexie · 26-30, F
He can't get flowers and chocolates? I think he's just being dismissive
Its a cash grab anyway 😂 just appreciate eachother like you do every other normal day
AnonymousJSS · 22-25, F
@AnonymousJSS tantrum it is then

If the showing off is that important to you there are alternative methods:
